Shipping Policy

Because Emi leather goods are made-to-order, orders will ship as soon as they've been completed. If you need weekend delivery or specific arrangements, please contact us and we'll arrange for the requested delivery at an additional cost if applicable. We try our best to meet the shipping time frames, but cannot guarantee them once they've been handed over to the shipping companies. Actual shipping time may vary depending on the carrier.


Made-to order & custom items require production time prior to shipment (ie. turnaround time). Once your order has shipped, we will email you a tracking #, so you can track your package along the way.

We ship to virtually anywhere worldwide. If the site is not accepting your shipping destination, please email us at info@atelieremi.com, and we will do our best to add your address to our shipping locations.

We always ship domestic orders via USPS Priority Mail (1-3 business days) and international orders via USPS Priority International Mail (6-10 business days), for package security, insurance, and an overall quicker transit time. Shipping rates may apply.

Domestic shipping is free on all orders over $300!

We are not responsible for any shipping taxes, fees, duties, brokerage fees, or etc. Please be aware of your countries import regulations/fees prior to ordering, especially when ordering from countries outside of the USA.

Exchange & Return Policy

We understand that sometimes things don't turn out as planned. Therefore, we do accept returns and exchanges on non-customized item(s) only, as long as they've never been used. Please notify us beforehand with the receipt or proof of purchase, and reason for the exchange/return. We will then give you instructions on where and how to send the item back to us. Please ship the item back to us within 7 days upon receiving it. Emi does not accept any returns or exchanges without prior notification and request for exchange/return.

Please keep in mind that because we're running as a purely handcrafted & hand-stitched business, Emi leather goods may have qualities of hand made items. Because we're human and are not using machines, we can get close to but not physically produce products that are 100% uniform. However, rest assured that our quality control policies are very strict, and often times, products are remade multiple times before shipment, in order to meet our quality standards.

That being said, if your order is approved for return or exchange, please send the item back to us in its original condition and with all its original packaging.

Please note that the buyer will be responsible for all return and exchange shipping costs. We are not responsible for any lost packages or damages that may occur during shipping, and do not guarantee that we will receive your returned or exchanged item. So, if for any reason an item is being sent back to us, and in order to prevent any shipping damages, please package the items securely and email us with the tracking information/number. Always obtain tracking numbers and we highly recommend purchasing shipping insurance, especially when shipping item(s) over $75.

Exchanges

Only items found to be defective will be approved for exchange. For ready-made, non-customized item(s), your replacement will be issued after we receive the item back in its original condition.

Due to the nature of made-to-order, customized items, we will determine, at our digression, if they are approved for exchange. Exchanges could be accepted for customized items, depending on the circumstance. If a customized item is approved for exchange, there may be an additional turnaround time, in order to reproduce your item.

Returns & Refunds

Once your return item is received and the item and packaging have been inspected for use and damage, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your shipment.

We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If the item is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment. The time it takes for the funds to appear in your account will be determined by your credit card company or bank entity.

Please note that returned orders will be subject to 15% restocking fee.

In certain situations, only partial refunds are granted. Items and packaging that are not in its original condition, are damaged or etc will not be granted a full return.

Due to the nature of made-to-order, customized items, returns are not accepted in most instances, unless determined by case. Prior to placing an order, please be sure that all measurements and selections are correct for items that require specific sizing or modifications.

Sale items

All sale items are final sale and non-refundable.

Warranty Items Servicing

We stand behind our products and craftsmanship, so we're glad to offer our customers limited lifetime warranty on all of our products, when properly maintained. Please see our warranty page here. However, item(s) approved for warranty repair must be shipped with a prepaid return label so we can get it back to you. If a prepaid return label is not included when we receive your item, you will be billed the return shipping fee, and the item will be held at our studio until the shipping costs are paid for.

Order Process

All advertisements on our website are invitations to purchase and not offers to sell. Emi reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept or reject the order once the form has been completed and submitted.

Receipt of your order will be confirmed via an automatic e-mail to the e-mail address associated with your account. This email is a confirmation that your order has been received, but does not constitute acceptance. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason. If the order is declined, we will contact you at the e-mail address provided in the order form. In such a case, we will have no obligation to fulfill your order and you will have no obligation to pay Emi for the order.


Tax Information

California requires that all sales made to buyers located within the state are subject to its sales tax rate of 7.25% plus a district rate. The total of state, county, and city sales tax rates will vary depending on the buyer's location.

Availability

All purchases on the site are subject to availability. In the event that such products are no longer available, we will have no obligation to fulfill your order and you will have no obligation to pay us for the order.

Payment

When placing an order, your billing address must correspond to the address of your credit card, otherwise we will not be able to process your order. Orders are paid using Shopify Payments, which is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. This compliance ensures that all shopping cart software and your information is secure. By confirming the payment, you authorize Shopify and Emi to charge the applicable card for the total amount listed at checkout. You also authorize that you represent and warrant that you are the card holder of the applicable card. If your card is rejected by the card issuer, your order will not be shipped and we will have no obligation to fulfill your order.

Note About Pet Accessories

Many of us love our pets, and want to lavish them with gifts. So when buying pet accessories, please be sure that all measurements are correct prior to placing your order. Once you receive the items, please make sure that they fit properly and securely. Although uncommon, injuries from pet accessories, such as collars and bells, can happen with any brand. So please, be aware of your pet's behavior before leaving them unattended with a new accessory. If you're concerned about the safety of pet collars in general, we do have breakaway buckle options available. If the collar design comes with bells, they can also be snipped off or excluded by request. Please note that modifying your leather good(s) after receiving them will automatically nullify returns or exchanges for that item. Emi is not responsible for any incidence in which pet accessories are used improperly either by the owner or the pet.
